Celia’s first school concert

Turn up your speakers, the microphone didn’t get this very loudly…
Seth is 1 year old now! Of course we had to sing Happy Birthday and give him his own cupcake.
Celia had a Valentines Day dance at her day care, and it was a blast! Lots of people showed up and I got some video.
Didn’t know she could do the Electric Slide.
And a line dance to YMCA:
No party is complete without a pinata!
And the ever popular indoor moon bounce:
Here’s some of the time Grammy and Grampy got to spend here. First it’s Celia opening some birthday gifts…
And then it’s time for the cake!
Celia and Seth “walking” and playing together.
Celia jumping around the living room in her leotard.
Celia Dancing
Playing Peekaboo
Just hanging around.
General sillyness before we leave for a party.
Opening stockings.
Well I’m finally getting to the backlog of video I’ve had sitting around… Expect a few more posts after this.
Anyway, we don’t get much snow around here so when there’s even a dusting it’s an event. Here’s Celia having some fun.
I think I have the video under control now. Sorry to anyone who tried to watch it before when it didn’t work. (Especially Carolyn.) Anway, here are Celia singing and Seth being a baby.
The last time I gave Celia a bath, it seemed like I couldn’t get anything better than luke warm water. Tonight when I tried it, I couldn’t get anything but cold water and the knob felt loose. She really wasn’t all that pleased with a short, cold bath. But at least she was clean…
Great. Something else we have to fix just before we move. Fearing the worst, I open up the panel behind the bath. Bone dry and the hot water pipe is warm; nothing amiss. I go to the front again and open up the cover for the screw on the knob. It’s a little loose, but nothing major and I cover it up again. I turn the knob left for hot. Cold water, but at least it’s firm now. I turn it right for cold. A strong gush of hot water.
Have I been turning the thing backwards for months now without thinking about it? And why would I suddenly start turning it the right way? Argh! Even if it were the fact that we have a new water heater set to the correct lower temperature, I should have noticed some time while giving Celia a bath…
Well, if you can read this I guess you can figure out that this blog has moved. As we move from one house to another and change internet providers, my current setup wasn’t going to work. Since we were going to have to change our email addresses anyway, Shelby and I also wanted ones we could hold onto for a little longer.
So here’s the new setup: we have the domain BidwellFamily.net hosted at DreamHost. Each of our email addresses has moved to @BidwellFamily.net, and my blog has moved to www.BidwellFamily.net/blog. Shelby’s blogs haven’t moved, although there is a link to them off the front page of the new site. We’ve also got a new photo gallery at www.BidwellFamily.net/images. Hopefully we’ll be a little bit better with adding pictures than we have been lately.
Last night Shelby and I went down town to see Great Big Sea and had a blast. We both decided that it’s been way too long since we’ve both been out together to a concert. The last adult concert we went to together was probably the last time we saw the same band, about 4 years ago… (It’s up to you whether the little outdoor childrens music concert we took Celia to last summer counts or not.) We’ve each been to one seperately since, but even that’s been a while. We’re a little tired this morning, but it was worth it. Thank you Elisia for watching Celia!
It’s also time I made sure that I’ve ripped all the albums we’ve bought so that I can listen to them at work… I hadn’t really listened to the last one much yet as it’s on Shelby’s computer, but after hearing some of the songs live, it’s really time to. And onto another topic, the next Guster album looks like it’s on pre order! Worth picking up even without hearing anything off it first.
There you go.
Not too much to say about it really. Thankfully everyone at home is feeling better by now, so that wasn’t an issue today. Shelby helpfully dropped Celia off at daycare this morning and then I got to work by 8:30. The new 15 minute commute is definitely an improvement. The day itself went pretty smoothly, I think I’ll be settling in there nicely.
